If you are planning to go to any shows or do any of the touristy attractions, both of those are NOT dog friendly. I really wanted to take Rory with me during our last trip, but I thought it wouldn't be the best idea for her to leave her in a hotel room while we went to a show, etc. Ginger may not be bothered by being left in a hotel room though...

If you are planning to only shop and eat, especially at places with sidewalk/outdoor seating (I've seen several places that don't allow dogs on the patio if it is actually a part of the restaurant though ), I think you'd be just fine! I live in Atlanta and the malls are more than dog friendly especially with Rory in a carrier. NYC is the same way. Hope that helps!
