My sister and BIL have a Basset mix and he weighs 60 pounds. He is over 2 years old, so he is very lazy. He sleeps all day everyday, unless they take him to the dog park or for a walk, and then he is pretty full of energy. He doesn't really play with toys, and Bassets are very laid back dogs, so I don't know if he will be that interested in the toys. He drools quite a bit when he sleeps, but that is the only time he does it. He does shed ALOT! Their whole house is covered in hair, and she says that he is just spreading his love around! LOL!
