I can't even sit down on the couch and pet her without her beginning to bite. It's really frusterating....Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
I just joined this site. My husband and I thought we had a dog with a vicious streek in her. Cookie jumps into our faces and bites as well as biting the hands. I have tried everything...to the point of biting her ear to release me. I did get her attention but the problem has continued. She really bites hard and even breaks the skin. I'm worried that she will naw my arm off. Glad to hear that she is not a vicous mad creature but normal. Ignoring her is helping but veeerrry slowly. So I do use the kennel when she's out of control. I also went to Petco today. They suggested a chew that looks like a stick..and it won't splinter or hurt her like the rawhides. And it's all natural. I also got a rope. Both agree with her and me too. It's just the first night. I know they are smart and hardheaded but this is an activity that has to be nipped in the bud right away.I notice this dog needs lots of exercise during the day. Each night her sleep habits are improving but we're going to be brave tonight and keep her in a kennel for the night so that we can sleep... Keep me posted on what is working for you and I'll keep you posted on my problem....
