How big would the basset be? My brother has never even seen him. He thought he'd be around the same as Layla or just a bit bigger, and a lot sturdier. Layla stands about 9 inches at the shoulder. I'm glad to hear they have sweet dispositions though!
Now we just have to convince my landlord... and my other roommate is a little angry about it. She isn't a huge fan of Layla in the first place, and apparently the landlord told JUST HER when she moved in that there are no other pets allowed. But we're in a duplex and I know the guy next door has two poms so I don't know how we'd just be limited to one... plus there's nothing stated in our contract at all about number of pets. I told my brother to just call him a few days after Christmas and say he got this dog as a Christmas present and he hopes it's okay that he lives here... and if not then my brother will have to move out.
