It was probably her anal glands but worms can't be ruled out without a fecal.
A dog would have to scoot her smell quite a bit before I'd empty the glands because in some cases over-emptying can do more harm than good but leaving them too long can create infection. Use your best judgement. You can empty them at home if you want but I'd watch a demo online first at the least...
