This is EXACTLY what I mean and what happened to me to send me on this whole little rant in the first place. I talked to one of my in-laws who asked me how much Yorkies were, knowing that I have several as do my parents. I didn't realize at the time that she was asking because that was the flavor of the week and she is wanting one. I didn't think on it much and just said, "Oh, about $1000 average I guess." She was shocked and said, "Well, it must be nice to be rich. I wish
I had $1000 to spend on a dog."
Then started hinting around not-so-subtley that she wants me to give her one from a future litter.
This coming from someone always looking for a handout.
And I'm thinking to myself 1) I'm not rich...I wish, and 2) I work darned hard to be able to pay for and provide for mine and WHY do you think you should be entitled to anything!?
