A LOT of emergency vet procedures are over 1000$ ...Years ago when my husband and i were engaged...he bought a siberian husky puppy. The puppy was playing in the backyard with the neighbor's dog...well the neighbors dog dug a hole under the fence and escaped. Our siberian husky puppy followed and crossed the street and got hit by a car and broke his leg. The vet cost was over 1000$ (and that was 13 yrs ago)! Oh and the vet always want their money at the time of service!!
