I got the one belly band that I have at PetSmart and yes it is stiff. It is kind of a denim material. But I washed it and it did soften up a bit. It is fine for my guy, but he is not a puppy either. I plan to order a couple more from a yt member, I'm guessing they will not be as stiff.
