when my babies were younger, i bought a postal scale (it weighs in pounds and ounces, so it will read Xlb Yoz) .... it came in handy! i wanted to make sure they were gaining weight on a weekly basis....i bought mine on ebay and it weighs up to 35 lbs...i think it was around $20
