Many large trees are having the huge branches breaking and falling, so happy we had all our big trees taken out couple years ago.
Neighbor on the back road behind us, not being experienced in this stuff, drove his new big one ton Dodge Ram four wheel out earlier, and then going back home in front of our place he was slipping and sliding all over the place on the road, he was really giving it the gas, oh my gosh I heard this loud...... yeppers looks like he creamed the drivers side on the flagstone entry post going into their driveway
Measured about two feet and then the drifts were three feet. They are saying on news more tonight. It's not snowing at the moment.
Gosh, sure was a lot of work getting that wood stove fired up, I need you to tell me how to stoke up a wood stove and keep it going. Whewww, I can't believe how many times I have had to put logs in. By the way what kind of wood stove do you use up there in Alaska?
I will be sure to get pictures in the morning to post here, our computer keeps going down. |
Wow, that is a DUMP! There are entire years we go by without getting 2 feet in one storm. Amazing. Be careful. People tend to forget how to drive every time it snows.
I can't remember the brand of woodstove we have. It's just a fireplace insert. It doesn't seem to save us a lot on the heating bill, but it sure is nice to have when it gets cold. It has a glass front so we can see the flames.
