I had a "maltipoo" named Sophie. Actually, both of her parents were registered maltese. Because the wonderful breeder I got her from was suspicious that the mother was part poodle after buying her, she wouldn't register the puppies and sold them as maltipoos instead of maltese. At the time I didn't really care, I got a small-breed puppy for cheap (half the price of what she charged for her other puppies, which was relatively low anyway) and she looked exactly like a maltese. She does have difficult hair, it has a bit of curl in it and it's cottony, so it's easy to mat. I had to move in with my parents for a while, and Sophie bonded very closely with my mother, so when I moved out Sophie stayed with them - it made everybody happy except me:/ I don't have any pictures to post now because I'm at work, but if I have time at home later I'll try to post some. I would caution you, though, to remember that a "maltipoo" is still a mixed-breed dog. I have nothing against mutts, as my baby Ella is one (a chihuahua mix) and I think she's the best dog in the world, but it does bother me to see people selling all these poodle mixes for outrageous prices. If you want a mixed-breed dog, check out your local animal shelter first

But I found Sophie by asking the owner of a local pet shop - she kept a list of local small breeders, and I was actually looking for either a westie or a maltese.
