My Duke barks at night too!!! at any noises he hears. We live in an apartment building where we can hear our neighbors coming and going so it's really tough.
I've gated him in my bedroom with me at night so that he doesn't run to the door but he would still barks from the bedroom, I've tried distracting him by squeking one of his toys.
Have not found anything else yet so hopefully someone can suggest a better method, but you're not alone...
