There are tons of good canned foods but you need to go to a specialty store. I like Nature's Variety, Merrick, Evangers, Innova...

Canned food is actually better nutrition for your dog than kibble IF you get a high quality canned food. And Yorkies don't eat much so it's not much more expensive. Just brush the remaining teeth

You could also do raw medallions or possibly dehydrated raw. I like the Grandma Lucy's "truth" which is cooked dehyrated food. It has garlic in it though, which is odd because I thought they couldn't have garlic. But it's a really neat concept! You have tons of options - just seek out a boutique that sells food and they will help you out!
