We're feeling your pain. Atticus is nearly a year old. We've had similar problems. Because he was going off the pad instead of on, we started using a doggie litter box (from Petsmart) and put the pad in it so he would have to jump in and out. It worked for awhile (about 5 months). But he would not want to jump all the way in so the trough would fill every so often. Then, (about 20 percent of the time) he would not even bother going that far, he'd go right in front of the litter box. He didn't want to go near the spots he went before. We just did away with the box and it went down to 10 percent. Actually,we are discovering that he prefers to go outside to use the potty. So we're going to try the Tell Bell and work on outside training some. Frustrating, indeed. But he's so adorable that the frustration melts away quickly...until next time.
