Make sure you use latex bands to hold the topknot and then place the bow's band around this, that way it doesn't have to be so tight. You should loosen it a bit with a ragtail comb, so that it's not too tight. Also, if you don't know how to carefully remove a band, I suggest you cut them off, here again you have to be careful; I once cut Joey's hair doing it that way.
