On time, my Punkin somehow stepped on a bee and was licking her front paw for a really long time. I thought it was allergies or something until I found the remaining dead bee in the house. I examined her paw and saw the stinger stuck between the palm so her licking couldn't get it out. I had to use a tweezer to pull out the stringer and gave her a little benedryl to relieve the itch.

Kathleenann: Does Diasy go outside? Does she step on grass or dirt? Try washing her paws with gentle puppy shampoo. Another thing you can try is feeding her different food. Maybe the current dog food has something that irriratate the skin making her itch and scratch. I switch from Iams to Eukanuba and it works well for my dogs from itching.
