Oh, I'm so sorry that they couldn't save the eye. I was prepared to tell you about my poodle's eye surgery many years ago - he ended up with a prosthetic eye (not a glass eye but a prosthetic filling inside his own "eyeball skin") - but then I read further and saw that it couldn't be saved. I wish I would have read this sooner because I wonder if the vet could have done that for your pup. My Daxton did just fine though with one eye. He was not even 1 year old when it happened but he already had this quirk about flipping around in circles when he was excited. He always flipped to the left and even after he lost his left eye he continued to do that. I don't think he really knew any difference. We never noticed any difference in his behavior with only one good eye anyway. And he lived a long ~15 more years. Good luck with your baby's recovery. I'll be thinking of ya'll.
