Melissa, I don't have any real words of wisdom for you because I haven't had any first hand experience with singletons. I do know, however, if my vet recommended a scheduled "c" section for the safety of my bitch, I would very seriously consider it. I am very fortunate because I have complete confidence in all the vets that work in practice I use and they are available to me 24/7 365. However, it is a 20 minute trip and if you run into a crisis situation, 20 minutes is too long.
