Well, I have went through that with Lucky. He is almost 10 months old. What I did was watched him like a hawk. If he started to lift his leg anywhere besides the pad I told him no no bad puppy and would put him on the pad and tell him to pee pee on the pad. Then I would praise him and give him a treat. He is doing much better. Every now and then I will catch him getting ready to mark something but not much. The key is catching them and correcting it as it happens. When we go to anyones house I always put a bellyband on him because I can't watch him as close as when I am home. Hope this helps. They are sooo smart they really do catch on quickly.
