Ooooo I remember those puky days with mine...I tried ginger snap cookies and then the vet gave me some pills (can't remember what it was) to stop the throwing up but he hates the pill...So we tried a few things last time..we fed him 2 hours before but I remember he still didn't do very well in the car, open the window so that he gets fresh air...then we try to limit his car rides to just 10-15 mins so that he can grow accustomed to it. Now he is 2.5 yrs old and is doing way better in the car. The problem with mine is he never stops moving in the car and I bet it makes him feel dizzy and throwing up is inevitable. I think some dogs do grow out of it after the puppy stage..just try to make short trips to let them get used to it.
