Hi there!

So i had a wonderful week or two reading to page 97 (so far) of the entire yorkietalk breeder forum lol... i just had a few questions...

i've 2 yorkies, My female is on her 9th day of heat (she had visible blood on her on the 5th of dec. i'm nearly positive of the date because i'm a groomer and am just generally detail oriented about my dogs daily but of course could be off a day) anyway and i am wanting to breed them. She is a little over 6lbs almost 2 years old... and my boy is a little over 4lbs and 2 and half years old.... they've been tested before hand. yes. but my questions were...

my female is akc registered, and so was my male. i got a letter from the akc his registration is 'being held in abeyance, pending completion of parentage verification analysis of akc dna certifications." and my breeder and i cannot locate the owner of dam of my boy's father... and its been a year and i'm not seeing it straightening out any time soon... with that being said is it a bad idea to breed them if he isn't akc registered? i dont know how to go about registering with another kennel club.

another question is my dogs are my family. they sleep with me, under the covers.. and with her being in heat i seperate them only when i'm not home. i keep a watchful eye on them when i am home so i can supervise any humpy time they may have... but is it nessessary to seperate them completely? them sneeking away at night out from under the covers to do it isn't something i consider them doing... she just started flagging a bit tonight he was interested and was trying... but ultimately couldnt situate himself and when i tried to help hold her the two of them changed to play mode...

so tomorrow i dont have many dogs to groom so i will put them in separate rooms until i come home... then... do i just wait till they are interest again? because me holding her he doesnt go for her he tries to play with me or find a toy to hump. (i've removed all the toys now lol) it just seems like if i interfere they stop? or maybe she isnt exactly ovulating cuz he isn't hounding her...? sorry. on with my reading i suppose. lol

i really just can't wait to share the joys of my babys mommy hood with you guys!!
