I  know some people can alone. |  I agree that it is not healthy to drug a dog for nail clipping but there is a time and a place for it.  I know of a 50 pound dog that hates it and a vet and techs couldn't do it.  Her dad has to lay on her and give her treats.  If he couldn't for some reason, she would probably end up needing drugs.  It is better than them growing around into her paw pads.  She can be very nervous about certain tings...she's a rescue.
