i've been a member of this site for a while, but i don't think i've ever posted.

i'm mostly a lurker - just reading up on everything -- you know, just getting prepared for the day i would finally be yorkie owner. when i originally joined, it was because i thought i was going to get a yorkie within a few weeks - an adoption, but it all fell through.
well, fast forward to almost a year later...my so knew i wanted a dog but had been advising me against it for the last two months (i'd told him that i was going to buy myself one for christmas).
so he said, no, don't do it...just wait. well, what i didn't know was that he'd found a reputable local breeder with years of experience and had reserved my fur baby while she was in her mommy's tummy!!
so he decides to show me a pic from this site: dcdogfinders.com -- my daily crack dose of dog watching. and he showed me a few yorkies -- now this site does not get yorkies very often -- mostly hybrids -- and when they do they go supppperrrr fast. but i know you already knew that! everyone loves these babies!

anyway, he shows me three or four pics of yorkies and asks me if i though they were cute and of course i said yes. i had NO idea that one of them was already mine and that i was looking at my own fur baby!! my so has a poker face of steel so he really got me on this one. and since he's a dog lover too, him just randomly going to the site didn't make my eyebrows rise.
so yesterday he was going to present her in this romantic way - bow, roses, etc. long story short, he couldn't because i had this big project going on, so he came to my house and i see him getting out of his car holding her.
i almost cried.
he'd gotten up at the crack of dawn to go pick her up.

he gets out and says: i want you to meet paris.

i'm thinking of changing her name to sasha. doesn't look like i can embed photos so here are the links.
oh, she is a little over 1lb and will be 11 weeks old on tuesday.
and in her first night home last night, she pooped on the puppy pad.

but, peed on the floor beside the pad.
