Red Velvet is my Dad's favorite cake! Most of the time, we're lazy too and just use a boxed mix but once Mom and I actually made one from scratch. FYI-be careful with the food coloring or your entire kitchen will end up red!

Personally, I think they are best with cream cheese frosting!
