It's not terribly cold here, but Nikko hasn't had all his vaccinations, so we have to keep him inside as much as possible - so no walks yet. :-( On top of that, he's confined to the kitchen/dining area because he's not reliable enough with his poops and pees to get any carpet time.

We encourage him chewing on bully sticks, playing fetch, and we've found a new game too...

Before we sit his food dish down for a meal, we'll throw a piece of kibble across the kitchen floor. Nikko races after it, pounces on it, brings it back over to us, then chews it up and eats it while he's staring up at us. We then repeat that process until he gets worn out or bored (usually at least 10-15 pieces of kibble), and finally put his food dish down so he can eat whatever else he wants. It's not much, but at least it's some exercise. A little fetch after that and/or tug of war, and he's usually tired enough to lay down happily in his crate or on one of our laps.
