Oh YES! I think I could almost faint
when I have the first bite of this cake! It is so heavenly.
It is a southern recipe that has come with us as we've left the southern states and moved elsewhere. My grandmother and then my mother and now I make this cake for birthdays and special occassions. I've been know to accept bribes for the recipe.
Just don't let the cake get dry or it's ruined and then you just have to eat the frosting since it's already made. Oh so sad!
