Scooter, our spaniel, had to get put down last night! I came home from school and let Sasha out, and he didn't come to greet me. I just thought that he was asleep in his kennel. My parents went to take care of him and his was like hypervinelating and didn't know where he was, so we put him in the basement and tried to get him to eat because he hadn't been and was super skinny! Well he started shaking his head, then was shaking so hard he got on his neck and eventually on his side. I was so scared I darted upstairs and started crying. We raced him to the vet. He had had a stroke during the day and the vet had thought that the shaking was a ceizure or a heart attack because he was having sometype of a heart disease! The vet said that there was medicine but we decided to put him down because he was also getting cataracts and he only had one eye anyway. We thought it wouldn't be fair for him to be blind. I feel so sad!
But, I have to remember that he is better off now and he can see, is no longer starving, and is happy!
