So I am the official cake baker for all birthdays for single soldiers in my husbands platoon. Up until this point its been chocolate cake with choclate frosting, jello cake, stuff i know how to make. Today's request for the 22 birthday of my friend Marvin is.....red velvet cake.
My question is...what is it? haha. I think its something from the south possibly since he's from Texas? Anyone have any recipes or at least an explanation of what it is would be GREATLY appreciated
