A dog with few or no teeth is better off than a dog with bad teeth. Ultimately, having teeth is more of a cosmetic issue for us than it is any kind of an issue for our dogs-- I know of a lot of dogs and cats both who have NO teeth left in their mouths, but still are able to eat both kibble and wet food just fine and have no ill consequences except for looking a little bit funny. Dental disease can be very bad for an animal-- it forces their immune system to be constantly in high gear, and introduces toxins that put all kinds of stresses on their other body systems.
I'd get the teeth pulled.
