I have to tell you my daughter (17) is allergic to cortisone shots. She had a cortisone shot in January in her knee during orthoscopic surgery. Well she had an allergic reaction to it and it completely ate away the fat pocket under her knee next to her shin. It actually looked like you took an ice cream scoop and scooped out the skin. Just 3 weeks ago she had major reconstructive surgery where they took part of her calf and put it into the area, she was in the hospital for 7 days. She now has a skin graft from her hip along with a 9" scar going down the front of her leg. All from a cortisone shot. Can't believe it. Very scary, I know many people who have had cortisone shots with no trouble at all.
