I have 6 dogs, 5 of them females. there are pros and cons to both. My hubby always preferred the females, but, I did fall in love with my little boy and got him, got him on a Sunday(he was 5 1/2 mos old) and had him neutered the next day. He has never lifted his leg in the house, he's trained to pee pads and just stands and kind of leans when he pees in the house, now, if he's outside running, he will lift his leg, likes to show hes a big boy. I think boys tend to be more loving, of course, our new little girl is very loving too. I guess the choice is yours. If you get a little boy, just try and make sure he's neutered before he starts lifting his leg, and then hopefully he never will lift it.
