How old is she? Bile acids tests can't be done until she is 20 weeks old.

This I don't really understand.
I understand why they shouldn't be done before 20 weeks but what about a pup with extreme symptoms? There are times when it looks exactly like a shunt but is something else and low protein isn't good for healthy pups, so it kind of puts owners in a spot.
Then the pup is being diagnosed with no testing...
