That is cute (her different growls). I have heard that with an older dog, it is a good idea to introduce a new pup to give them a little more "zip". My aunt also had an 11 year old shihtzu and brought home a puppy last year. It did make a difference (unfortunatley the older dog had been sicked and passed away last month).
I guess I am just concerned with them being littermates more than just having two dogs. They have only known their life together -- and I just wonder how accepting they would be with another dog.
What other dogs do you have and hold old are they?
