Being new to YT, I'm just curious how being a member here can affect a breeder's decision? I never thought of that as a possibility.

Here's my two cents but I'm no expert...to the OP, as hard as it is, consider this a blessing in disguise. It's sooo important to have a breeder you can trust, as you may end up keeping in contact with them long after the puppy comes home. I know my puppy's breeder is someone I can still call with any questions or concerns anytime if needed. And I think anyone should be able to feel that way with the breeder they choose. You might have to wait a few months for a puppy, but it will be worth it to have an trustworthy breeder. A dishonest one can cause problems before and long after the puppy comes home (dog with health or behavioral problems costing $$$ over the long term, etc). Congrats on the impending arrival of your new puppy!

Oh and if it were me, I would email the breeder to get an explanation about everything. I know its not super important in the big scheme of things but I guess it might keep me wondering what happened otherwise...
