do a search on the breeders name, like type it into google and see what comes up. Thats what I did. Also, ask questions about health problems that are common with the breed, like someone else mentioned, I think, the health screening that they do. Maybe find out how many dogs they have that they use for breeding.
If they seem like they are more interested in selling you on the dog then they are making sure you are a good home for the dog, they might be questionable.
