All dogs are different! Maggie bled a LOT for 2-3 weeks. It calmed down after the first week and a half but man, keeping her clean was crazy! We had to change her diaper twice a day. I really think it all depends. Definitely keep her isolated from strange dogs for 3-4 weeks. Then I would get her spayed 4-6 weeks AFTER she stops bleeding. It was horrible with Maggie and I'm so glad we got her spayed so we never have to deal with this again.
