[daisymae2012]

Hi Everyone, Daisy (yorkie) is 11 months old who is 4 lbs. We got a golden retriever (Gracie) who now is 6 months and weights 52 lbs. Daisy is very possessive & loves people, but hates other dogs. We have tried putting them together with close supervision, but all Daisy does is bark at Gracie constantly. Daisy is like this with all dogs including my mom's 6 lb. toy poodle. I don't know if it is b/c she is small and she thinks that is a way of protecting herself or what, but that is how she is. Now, Gracie wants to play with Daisy, but my husband and I have both been a little scared of letting them play together b/c Gracie is so much bigger. (so far for the past 3 months, atleast one of them has been on a leash while they are together) Does anyone have suggestions and am I being too overprotective of Daisy? They are both very sweet dogs and they both are puppies so they are both very energetic. I don't think Gracie would ever intentionally hurt Daisy, but she is almost 50 lbs. heavier than Daisy and it scares me a little.
