 information on heat?
a month ago we adopted a 6 year old female yorkie. her breeder no longer wanted her due to the fact that she can not have any more puppies, due to her age and her size. my yorkie-poo has been spayed, so i have never experienced a dog's heat cycle and am unsure of what is normal.
this morning, we noticed that there are tiny blood spots all over the carpet. my question is how much blood is normal? we called our vet, and he said it just varies from dog to dog, but i thought i would ask here. also, she was shaking a bit and acting a little more tired than usual. is this normal for a heat cycle? having had little dogs for a while, i know that shaking occurs for any reason under the sun, but i just want to make sure that something is not wrong.
can anyone give me any more information?
