Whenever he puts teeth on you harder than you'd like, I would let out a loud "YIKE!" noise (like a puppy yelping in pain) and proceed to ignore him for a few minutes.

This is how I'm training Ollie in bite inhibition and it's working really well. He'll almost always lick after he gets this treatment.
