Default I'm Gracie's new mommy!

Hi everyone! This is my first post. I just absolutely love Gracie. She is a "go with the flow" kind of girl. Everyone thought I was crazy for getting a dog from GA when we live in Western NY. She was definitely worth it. Cindy (chattiesmom) was a dream to work with from the first moment. She answered all of our questions and emails. She has the patience of a saint. You can tell how much she loves her dogs because Gracie is a sweetheart. She is very well adjusted. I couldn't believe how well Gracie did at the airport. I was starting to get freaked out myself between the escalators, train and all the people but Gracie was great. Cindy had a pretty dress on her and a fancy rhinestone clip in her hair because I picked her up on my birthday. We brought Gracie home on Monday. Yesterday we just hung around the house and took a nap. I'm on vacation all week so we can take our time getting used to each other.

Today we had a busy day. I took her to get a hair cut this morning. She was a big furball and I loved her wild woman look but her hair was in her eyes. When I picked her up from the groomer, I thought I had the wrong dog. My Gracie was even more sassy. Then we went to the nursing home so she could meet Gram. The best thing about Gracie is that she's a snuggler (she's on my lap as I type). She settled right in on Gram's lap. Everyone was coming by to see her. At dinner time, Gram held Gracie in her lap while I pushed her wheelchair to the dining room. She kept saying "this is the new dog". She was so excited and acted like a celebrity because she was getting all the attention. It was really cute.

We weren't sure how Gracie and Lulu would get along. Gracie acts a little aggressive (only around Lulu) but I think she's trying to get Lulu to play with her. Lulu is more brave than I thought she'd be. They circle around each other but are still cautious. Hopefully they will be bff's.

Thank you Cindy for raising such an awesome dog. Thanks to every one for thinking of us. I will post again. It might take some time to figure out how to post the pictures. I'm still learning. If I do anything goofy, I apologize in advance. Kelli
