 Ultra sonic Cleaning
One thing that everyone should be aware of when getting their Yorkie's teeth cleaned. You should ask for hand scaling, and not ultra sonic. The reason this is, because of the loosening that may occur on the smaller teeth. It actually has been proven to loosen the teeth in the jaw! So ask if they will hand scale.. if they say no.. find another vet that will!
I insist on it. Ralphie has lost no teeth. I know others that have. The vets will not tell you of this.. because they may not know. But the ultrasonic divice gets hot as well, and can actually damage the teeth or gums because of the heat that is generated.
So do some research and check into this.
