come is a tough one- but a very important one because it is the one command that can save his life.
We started with my mom at one end of the room and me at the other- we both had treats- just tiny ones and would say Layla COME- she would come running and then lots of treats. We did this for a few minutes. Then for weeks after i would always have treats on me- and randomly i would call layla COME and she would come bounding to me - and she got LOTS of treats. Our trainer said that come should be the only command where EVERY time you say it- she gets treats- because there might be at ime when she is after something dangerous and she HAS to know that what you are going to give her beats out wahtever she is after- so you virtually always need to have treats when you are going to say come- and lots of them.
