I don't know if you've done much research on the subject, so forgive me if you have, but after learning more about breeding, some people realize it isn't such a great idea. Dogs don't have the desire to become mommies and daddies, like humans, and after breeding most dogs' personality change. Breeding can also be expensive as well as dangerous. People sometimes think, "Well animals breed all the time in nature, so what's the harm?" Once humans domesticate animals they become very involved in the breeding process, and help is often needed in delivery, and even mating. At her age, you don't even know if she suffers from genetic illness, which are hereditary, and expensive to test for. Do you know her background? Also, sexual diseases can be passed the very first time she mates even if its the male's first time. There is so much to learn about good breeding, it's a science as well as an art. If your heart is set upon becoming a breeder, I suggest you read the breeding forum, past threads have recommended many good books on how to get started. If you are just toying with the idea, you might want to read this link. TO BREED OR NOT TO BREED – THAT IS THE QUESTION
