Also, I've been telling my Sylar to "hurry up" and he goes in a matter of 5 minutes. I'm not sure how I got him to associate "hurry up" with hurrying to sniff out a good spot to potty and eliminate but he does. I praise him right when he's doing his deed. You may want to try treats, I haven't had to do that but it may very well work. |
i couldnt agree more. you know between what time he will go so let him out and if he doesnt go. into the crate, let 1-15 minutes go by and try again until he does go. after a week of getting put back in the crate until he goes he will figure out that as soon as he goes outside he is out of the crate. they are very smart you just need help them learn what you want. like saying "hurry up" they understand what we mean weather it is the tone we use or the actual words either way they know what we want them to do and they want to make us happy.
