A poorly bred Yorkie can cost your a fortune in vet bills down the line. Obviously this breeder wasn't doing any genetic screening or health testing, so who knows what genetic "time bombs" the puppy could be carrying?

My Lady is a rescue and was perfectly healthy for the first four years of her life. She is now diabetic, epileptic, hypothyroid, has a heart murmur, arthritis and allergies. Her immune system is weak because of her diabetes and she gets sick a lot. Her medications and diabetic supplies plus routine checkups/bloodwork to monitor her conditions run $5,000 a year. We usually have at least one emergency per year that runs between $500-1,000. This year we had two.
