that is scary about the vets in the gulf war ... i had not heard that

when i first heard about squalene/squalane, i had the same reaction - NO THANKS .. but then when i read squalane was the vegan form of squalene and the benefits, i was interested

i like squalane because it is a GREAT moisturizer...i have dry combo skin that turns to extremely dry in the winter...but i also have very sensitive skin and i have tried many products that make me break out in blemishes, rashes and even welts! but with squalane i have never had anything bad happen...it mimics the natural sebum (oil) in our skin so it is nonirritating and will likely not cause breakouts, reactions or anything like that..for this reason it is great for oily skin that needs moisture ( squalane oil skin care )

squalane is also considered a carrier oil so when used in conjunction with skincare products with "actives" it helps the good ingredients penetrate deeper and gives you moisturization at the same time...for this reason, i mix squalane with my retin-a

i am a bit of a skincare junkie so if you have any more questions, please fire away!
