Unhappy does Suki have a luxating patella? advice?

Since mid November, I've noticed that my 1yr 7mo old yorkie Suki holds her right hind leg up when she runs/plays. I first noticed this after holding her in my arms and in haste I firmly placed her on the floor near her bed. She shriek and I noticed a slight limp afterwards. It suprised me so I hurried and scooped her back up in my arms and took a look at both her legs..she didn't cry out when I prodded around.

Some time has passed and everything seemed normal again. Then I notice her holding the leg up when she's running like she's afraid to put it down. It hurts me to see that happen but she doesn't appear to be in pain. I've put a stop to her jumping off of the couch which she did not do often and it is not a high jump. But she's still very active. One day we were playing with a toy in my room (which has carpet) and she jumped for it on her hind legs and cried out again...since then I see her with the hind leg up more often but sometimes running on it and acting completely normal again...is this a definite sign of a luxating patella?? From what I've read on the forums here it seems fit the description. We haven't seen a vet yet but I want to start her on some Glucosamine supplements right away. Can someone provide a link as to where I can place an order for some online?

We do have hardwood floods. The only carpet is in 2 bedrooms. We have a long hallway where she does most of her running going up and down. Could this be making the problem worse? I'm looking in to getting a runner for the hallway, so will it help ease the stress on her joints?

Any advice will be helpful and appreciated.
