| Hi. I'm sorry this has happened to your and your puppy. Here is a link to the Puppy Lemon Law States. Puppy Lemon Law States. Unfortuanately I did not see Tennessee listed as a state that has this law in place. I did a quick google search and once again nothing pulled up. HOWEVER, I would still contact your Attorney General and also the local Humane Society and see if they can lead you in the right direction. Another alternative would be to file a small claims in court for your vet bills with documentation from your vet. To file would cost you maybe $25.00. MANY breeders do not consider Giardia, Coccidia or ear mites a covered problem. Very sad that breeders think this is common in pups. It's not. Thankfully, what your pup has can be treated successfully. The Giardia is what I'd be most worried about. Do you have other pets? If so you have to keep them separated until the Giardia is clear. ALWAYS pick up your pups poop and dispose of it. If in the crate/house etc. Bleach it after you clean up. Keep his or her behind clean. It can take some time for this to clear up and has to be tested a few times to make sure it is entirely gone. Even if the first test comes back clear take another. If that one is clear it generally means you are good but I would take a third to be sure. My Lilly had this and she is fine. How old is your pup? If young and small you have to be especially careful.
