I would say that your little guy probably wont potty on the plane. I've only had mine on car trips but I have been on a plane next to someone with a dog and she just laid in her carrier the whole flight. if you want him used to the carrier you can try putting him in it for short times leading up to the flight, that way you will know how he will react to being in it.
