Small dogs they will let you take on with you. But you have to put them under your seat like if you had a small carry on. I have car traveled long distance with mine. But I can tell you they will vomit every time if I leave them in the carrier. If they are out with me they never get sick. This Thanksgiving we went home and I wasn't feeling well I have back pain. So I didn't get them out and they all got sick on me all the way. Then we ended up having to come home early as we stayed over night in one of our other homes and they were so stressed they didn't want to eat much. And Zoie is on an antibiotic for a urninary issue. So we ended up bring them home as she didn't want to eat and was stressed and we didn't want her stressed out any longer. I hope you make it okay on your trip. Sometimes they do go and other times they don't. I think its important you take them out alot when you are home so they get use to the car. They love riding in the car but not when I put them in the carrier.
